Refund Policy

    Last updated: October 2026

    1. Overview

At Nautiplex, we want you to be completely satisfied with your boat rental experience. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and modifications to your booking.

    2. Cancellation Policy

    48+ Hours Before Departure

100% refund of the amount paid, with no administrative fee deducted.

Less Than 48 Hours Before Departure

50% refund of the amount paid.

    3. How to Request a Refund

    To request a refund, please:

    1. Open "My bookings" from your account
    2. Select the booking you want to cancel
    3. Use the "Cancel booking" button
    4. Confirm your cancellation

Your refund is calculated and processed automatically at the time of cancellation.

    4. Refund Processing Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days from the date of cancellation. The refund will be returned to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to reflect the credit.

    5. Changing Your Booking Dates

Nautiplex does not currently support changing the dates of an existing booking directly. If your plans change, cancel your booking under the terms above and make a new booking for your preferred dates.

    6. Non-Refundable Fees

    The following fees are non-refundable:

    • Insurance upgrades (unless otherwise agreed by the boat owner)
    • Third-party payment processing fees

    7. Owner Cancellation

If the boat owner or operator cancels your booking — for any reason, including weather, a mechanical problem, a safety concern or their own unavailability — you automatically receive a 100% refund of everything you paid. The refund is issued at the moment of cancellation, and we email you the reason the operator gave. The standard cancellation windows above do not apply to operator cancellations.

    8. Disputes and Chargebacks

If something went wrong with a booking, please contact our support team first — most issues can be resolved faster that way than through a bank dispute. You keep all of your rights to dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer; if you do, we respond to the dispute through our payment provider (Stripe) with the booking records we hold.

    9. Weather & Safety Cancellations

Safety at sea comes first. The skipper or operator has the final say on whether a trip can go ahead safely, based on wind, sea state, visibility, storms or lightning, port authority (Hellenic Coast Guard) restrictions, or the condition of the boat.

    • If the operator cancels because of weather, sea conditions, a safety concern or a mechanical problem, you receive a 100% refund automatically (see section 7).
    • If the Coast Guard or another authority prohibits departures on your trip date, the operator cancels and you receive a 100% refund.
    • If you choose to cancel yourself because of a forecast while the operator considers the trip safe, the standard cancellation windows in section 2 apply. Contact the operator first — many will offer to move your trip to another date.
    • If a trip has to be cut short at sea for safety reasons, contact support and we will review a partial refund with the operator.

In other exceptional circumstances, such as natural disasters or government travel restrictions, Nautiplex may offer full refunds or rebooking outside the standard policy. Please contact customer support.
